London Fashion Week SS14

So another LFW done and dusted and although sadly I never attended any shows, (let’s be honest I neither have the qualifications nor the status to attend but a girl can dream!) I did not miss out on what the fashion world has to offer for Spring/Summer 2014 thanks to the live streams. Here is just a quick roundup of some of my favourite looks from the past several days.

Oh Mulberry, a timeless British brand that exudes class and sophistication in my mind. The collection’s mix of boyish cuts and lady knee length designs consisted of neutrals and pastels in the blue and orange family, with floral prints and stripe detail.

Standout piece-  The striped Willow Tote is to die for.

Highlight of the show- Turbo the dog. Dog did good and looked fabulous too.

Another British luxury fashion house which presented us with fitted silhouettes and casual oversized outerwear draped on top. Again primarily in neutrals and pastels with the occasional pop of colour and gem embellishments. Styled with with simple shoes, beautiful folded clutches and the occasional retro pair of sunnies gave a clean modern finish to each look.

Standout Piece- The folded bag. So many colours and styles to choose from!

Absolutely beautiful. That’s all I can say, I’m not really a fan of silk organza but somehow Alice Temperley has just made me fall in love with her SS14 collection. The designs have a youthful silhouette but are still elegant and pretty. The gowns are unveiled in feminine shimmery cream and blush pinks, and as the show progressed we are presented with dark and dramatic floor length pieces. One of my favourites was a mix of prints in purple floral and leopard which gave an edgy modern vibe.

Standout Piece- This gorgeous little number. I just can’t get over this print.

Who doesn’t love Topshop!? Well I’m sure there is the odd person, but I love it and their Unique SS14 collection did not disappoint. Always on trend, the outfits were effortlessly cool and styled to perfection. From rich emeralds and vibrant blues to muted yellows and creams, the loose and billowy cuts just scream relaxed summer days with no cares in the world. I know we’ve just hit winter (totally bypassed autumn) here in the UK, but when can it be summer again please…I have outfits planned out already!

Standout Piece- Patterned jumpsuit be mine!

There were A LOT of shows at LFW, if I was to go through each one individually it would take forever, plus I wasn’t a fan of everything that was shown. So to keep it short and sweet, here are some of the various looks from other shows that I simply adore.
